This shirt was worn by Damien Duff on the bench for Ireland during the 2-2 draw with Holland on September 2nd 2000. Duff was a non-playing substitute for this game so there is no way that this shirt is match worn. Duff gave the shirt to a friend afterwards. I purchased the shirt from that friend and there is a letter of authenticity confirming the shirt's history from him. The shirt has been signed on the front of the shirt by Duff. The shirt differs from replica shirts because there is no sponsor's logo on the front: all Ireland replica shirts from 1992 onwards had a sponsor logo written on the front; shirts without a sponsor logo could not be bought in shops from this period onwards. The official team sheet is pictured below which shows that Duff was allocated the Number 15 jersey so this is definitely one of his shirts from that match.
