This shirt was issued to striker Tony Cascarino for the 1994 World Cup. It is a white, away, long-sleeved shirt and has not been signed. It features the special embroidery in Irish, Corn an Domhain USA '94 around the FAI logo. This translates as "World Cup USA '94". The vast majority of match shirts issued to the Irish players were short-sleeved because of the very high temperatures and high humidity. However, a very small number of long-sleeved shirts were also prepared just in case any of the players did want to wear them. Ireland wore white in all but one of their matches at the finals but Cascarino wore only short-sleeves in all of the matches he played in. Therefore, there can be no question of this shirt being match worn. The shirt differs from replica shirts because there is no sponsor's logo on the front: all Ireland replica shirts from 1992 onwards had a sponsor logo written on the front; shirts without a sponsor logo could not be bought in shops from this period onwards.
